Real Estate Professional
Chris Iverson
CA DRE# 01708130
18+ years of experience and deep knowledge of the local real estate market to Silicon Valley.
Chris Iverson has been selling Peninsula real estate since 2005, working directly with buyers and sellers rather than managing a team. When you hire Chris, you get Chris: every showing, every negotiation, every decision runs through the person you actually hired. Most of his business comes from repeat clients and the friends and contacts they refer, people who value transparency and someone willing to tell them what they need to hear, not just what they want to hear. All 30 of his Google reviews are five stars.
Chris approaches real estate as a business, not a hobby. He combines a strong quantitative approach, built on statistics, economics, and hard data, with the ability to tell the story of a home: the subjective, emotional details that help buyers picture their life there and help sellers capture full value. Clients hire him for the same reason they hire their attorney or wealth manager, and he works the same way.
Expectations get set at the start, and every seller gets a standing weekly check-in on whatever channel they prefer, by phone, Zoom, email, or text, with the supporting numbers in hand. Some weeks that is a half-hour conversation. Some weeks there is nothing to report and it takes two minutes. When a decision comes up in between, an offer or anything else that matters, Chris works around the seller's schedule. And when something goes sideways, he owns it and fixes it. No spin, no manufactured drama.
That approach shows up in the results. On a Portola Valley estate where the broker consensus put the value between $40 and $45 million, Chris took the position that the market would support considerably more. The property was complex and the transaction was complicated, and it took about a year, but the sale closed at $56 million.
In addition to the marketing tools and global reach available through Sotheby's International Realty, Chris draws on his own network of contacts in markets around the world with ties to Silicon Valley. Whether a client wants broad exposure or a more discreet, targeted approach, Chris builds the marketing plan around what actually works for that property and that seller.
Chris lives in Palo Alto with his blended family of seven: five kids spanning elementary school to college, plus two golden retrievers. With kids currently enrolled in both Palo Alto and Woodside schools, he brings firsthand, current knowledge of the area's top schools, large and small, to every conversation about where to live.
Outside of work, Chris is still an avid cyclist, putting in miles on the quiet roads of the Santa Cruz Mountains. When he gets a few free hours, he tinkers with an old BMW he is restoring, and can occasionally be found at track days at Sonoma Raceway or Laguna Seca.
A rare estate nestled in the serene woodlands of Portola Valley on nearly 12 flat, private acres.
